Paramount+ Line-Up: What New Shows and Movies Will Be Available on Launch?

CBS All Access is becoming Paramount+ this month—and along with the new name comes 30,000 hours of content from the ViacomCBS group of networks and companies, which includes MTV, Nickelodeon, BET, Comedy Central and many more.

Though Paramount+ has recently grabbed headlines by announcing upcoming projects like reboots of Frasier, iCarly and Rugrats, none of these will be available at launch. The service, however, is offering new shows and movies from the world of Spongebob Squarepants, a treat for fans of vintage MTV reality shows, plus an eye-opening documentary about the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

What new shows and movies are on Paramount+?

60 Minutes+

Correspondents Enrique Acevedo, Seth Doane, Wes Lowery and Laurie Segall bring a spin-off of the iconic news show which, per Paramount+, "bring Paramount+ viewers a new perspective on the investigative reporting and exclusive newsmaker interviews that have made 60 Minutes must-watch television for generations."

76 Days

A documentary film, currently shortlisted for best documentary at the 2021 Oscars, which looks into the earliest days of the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China and how is affected frontline hospital workers.

For Heaven's Sake

A perhaps unique blend of comedy and true crime documentary which explores the disappearance of Harold Heaven from a remote Canadian cabin in the 1930s.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run

The second of Paramount+'s two Spongebob projects, this is the delayed CG movie spin-off from the original show that was initially set to hit U.S. cinemas in February 2019, before being delayed multiple times (including four times during 2020.)

Tooning Out the News Season 2

The second season of Stephen Colbert's animated satire show.

Existing CBS All Access Originals

Though CBS All Access is getting a rebrand, that does not mean it is losing all of its existing content. Among the originals that new subscribers will be able to watch is the acclaimed The Good Fight (a spin-off of The Good Wife starring Christine Baranski), as well as the streamer's growing list of Star Trek shows like Discovery, Picard and the animated Lower Decks.

Also original to CBS All Access is Stephen King adaptation The Stand, the Lucy Liu-starring Why Women Kill and the Jordan Peele-hosted Twilight Show (though that was recently canceled).

The streamer is also set to expand its catalog with 30,000 hours of TV and film from the ViacomCBS archives, though they have not revealed what content is expected to be available at launch.
