PS5 Restock Update for Amazon, GameStop, Walmart, Costco, Best Buy, Target and More

PS5 restocks are starting to become more frequent again, with the likes of Walmart, Best Buy and Antonline all replenishing their inventories over the past few days.

Not only that, but there is a PS Direct restock confirmed for later this month and early Black Friday sales are already commencing.

While it does seem like the dry spell is finally coming to an end, that does not mean that getting a hold of Sony's console will be easy now. The elusive hardware is still in extremely high demand, and you can guarantee that opportunistic scalpers will be gearing up for the Black Friday sales.

To stand a good chance of beating the competition, it is important that you keep up to date with all the latest information. With that said, here is an update for every major U.S. retailer.

Walmart PS5 Restock

On November 1, there was a PS5 and Xbox restock at Walmart but, according to would-be shoppers, this was plagued with technical difficulties and server issues.

Even knowledgeable console trackers like Matt Swider found the website experience to be chaotic, so it is hardly surprising that people were failing to get their hands on a console.

If you search the Walmart website now that things have calmed down, you might be able to locate a few second-hand PS5 units for sale. Just be mindful that these will likely be traded by scalpers and will therefore be overpriced.

For a digital edition you should be paying around $399, while the recommended manufacture's cost for a disc edition is $499.

On a related note, Walmart will be running an early Black Friday event on November 3 that focuses specifically on tech products. You can find out more about this and all of the associated deals right here.

GameStop PS5 Restock

Last week, GameStop coordinated a number of in-store drops at its flagship locations in Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Nashville, Detroit and North Carolina.

PS5 units were only available for collection during this time, which meant that you had to be within traveling distance of one of the participating stores. There was no option for home delivery.

As for online orders, all PS5 bundles are still displaying as "sold out" on the GameStop website.

Costco PS5 Restock

Costco recently had its first PS5 restock in months but those new supplies were quickly depleted. At the time of writing, the merchant's inventory has not been replenished and there is no indication of when the next drop is likely to occur.

On the bright side, the fact that Costco is finally getting back into the next-gen console market (after such a prolonged absence) should be taken as a positive sign for consumers. If nothing else, it indicates that the supply issues are not quite as severe as they once were.

Newegg PS5 Restock

At the time of writing, the contents of today's Newegg shuffle have yet to be announced. It has been a while since a PS5 bundle was included in this draw, but it does occasionally happen, so it is worth checking each day.

As always, you can browse the general Newegg website as well to see if there are any pre-owned units up for grabs. Just be prepared for these PS5s to be significantly more expensive, as they will be listed by third-party resellers.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

You can still express an interest in Sony's imminent restock for November, but you will not have long to do so as this event will be starting any day now.

For a little bit of context, there is currently a link on the official Sony website, which you can use to register to buy a PS5. If you sign up for this with an active PlayStation Network (PSN) ID, then there is a chance that you will be selected to purchase a console when new units are released sometime in November.

It is worth pointing out that you are not guaranteed a PlayStation just by registering, but if you are one of the lucky chosen ones then you will be notified via email. For more information about how this all works, click here.
