The FAA rolls out a new AI supported air traffic system as a congressman raises concerns about its launch. Ukraine says it has deployed ground robots behind Russian lines as part of Operation Vivaldi. Hello, I'm Shane Croucher, and welcome to Newsweek's Bulletin. Here's what you need to know today.

The FAA has rolled out a new AI-supported system designed to predict air traffic problems before they happen and reduce delays and cancellations. SMART combines data including weather, flight paths, traffic, and staffing. But Democratic Congressman Don Beyer is calling for the system to be suspended, saying air traffic controllers were not adequately consulted or trained before its rollout around Washington, D.C. The FAA says controllers remain in control and can reject the system's recommendations.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces say they deployed ground robots behind Russian lines as part of their Operation Vivaldi counteroffensive. Ukraine's Third Army Corps says heavy bomber drones carried the attack robots more than six miles behind the front line, where they targeted Russian positions before Ukrainian troops advanced. The corps says the operation helped its forces recapture territory in the Donetsk region.

Finally, the White House has launched a round-the-clock video stream called ‘Trump TV: The Essentials Station.’ The service comes days after President Donald Trump barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House as the three outlets challenge the move in federal court.
