Who Is Performing at the MTV VMA Awards 2022? Every Act Taking to the Stage

The highly anticipated 2022 MTV Video Music Awards are right around the corner.

The star-studded ceremony, known as the VMAs, will take place Sunday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and will be hosted by Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow and LL Cool J.

This will be the first time the show will have multiple hosts since 1986, when it was fronted by MTV presenters Downtown Julie Brown, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, Martha Quinn and Dweezil Zappa.

The VMAs are often one of the most memorable nights on the music calendar and have boasted some huge moments in pop culture history, such as Kanye West storming the stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech in 2009; Lady Gaga wearing a meat dress in 2010; and Beyoncé revealing her pregnancy in 2011.

MTV has confirmed a whole host of stars will take to the stage at the 2022 awards, including host Minaj who will be this year's recipient of the prestigious Video Vanguard Award. That honor is presented to artists for their "outstanding contributions and profound impact on music video and popular culture."

Who Is Performing at the MTV VMA Awards 2022?

The full list of performers who will be taking to the stage at the 2022 MTV VMAs can be seen below:

Nicki Minaj

As is tradition for the winner of the Video Vanguard Award, Nicki Minaj will be treating fans to a performance.

Bad Bunny

A late addition to the MTV VMAs lineup, Bad Bunny will perform via livestream from Yankee Stadium in New York.

Jack Harlow

Jack Harlow is set to make his solo VMAs debut. The musician first performed at the ceremony in 2021 with his "Industry Baby"-collaborator Lil Nas X.


Lizzo is set to perform her latest single "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)" on the VMAs stage.


BLACKPINK are making their U.S. awards show debut with a performance of the new single "Pink Venom," from the group's second studio album Born Pink.

Panic! at the Disco

Panic! at the Disco return to the VMAs stage for the first time since 2018 to perform the new single "Middle of a Breakup."

Måneskin, Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello and Khalid, and Kane Brown have also been confirmed as performers.

Meanwhile, Dove Cameron, Yung Gravy, and Saucy Santana will take to the stage at the VMAs pre-show, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT on the day of the awards.

The nominations for the MTV VMAs were announced on July 26. To vote, all you have to do is head to the VMA website here.

Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X lead the pack with seven nominations in total.

Harry Styles and Doja Cat are close behind with six nominations each, while Drake, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, the Weeknd, and Dua Lipa follow with five.

At the 2022 awards, Madonna is up for Best Longform Video for Madame X, distinguishing the pop legend as the only artist to be nominated in each decade since the VMAs began in 1984.

The 2022 VMAs will air live on multiple channels on Sunday, including ​​MTV, VH1, Paramount Network, MTV2, BET, BET Her, CMT, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Logo, Pop, TV Land, and the CW.
