Elizabeth Crisp is a Washington Correspondent for Newsweek, covering the White House, Trump administration and 2020 campaign.

She previously was the Washington Correspondent for The Advocate | The Times-Picayune, primarily covering the Louisiana delegation, and had stints covering State Capitols in Louisiana for The Advocate; Missouri for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch; and Mississippi for The Clarion-Ledger.

A Mississippi State graduate, Elizabeth spent years covering politics in the United States South before moving to the nation's capital. Through her eclectic career she's covered the Trump impeachment inquiry; 2016 presidential race, including then-Gov. Bobby Jindal's unsuccessful bid for the GOP nomination; multiple gubernatorial and U.S. Senate campaigns; a 2008 presidential debate; and multiple prisoner executions.

She's a member of the White House Correspondents Association, IRE, Association of Health Care Journalists and Regional Reporters Association.
