As a learning organization, we focus on providing employees with challenging and rewarding job assignments, ongoing training, resources and tuition reimbursement, among other opportunities. Our people are our greatest asset, and we encourage everyone across the organization, from managers, mentors and colleagues to support driving one another's careers forward.
Many professional development opportunities are organized by department. The E.D.G.E. (Empowerment, Development, Growth, Engagement) Program connects and empowers Incyte employees on the U.S. Business Team with seminars, networking opportunities, mentorship opportunities and more.
In the U.S., Leadership Development Training is provided to managers who are new to Incyte, employees who were recently promoted to managers and individuals who have been identified as potential leaders. Additionally, classes in presentation skills and emotional intelligence are offered, and the Insights Discovery Workshop helps improve internal and external communication.
In Europe, managers are eligible for selection to participate in a training program with multiple modules in various focus areas. The Team Effectiveness Workshop is offered to help improve communication, accountability, decision-making and overall performance and the Insights Discovery Workshop seeks to improve internal and external communication and always draws a crowd. Finally, the Challenge Academy encourages employees to take on challenging projects and supports them in doing so.
3. How does your company ensure transparency and open communication between management and employees, fostering a sense of trust and belonging?
Our management team makes themselves available to all employees. Our culture of transparency and open communication with employees across the company encourages an honest dialogue and continuous feedback so that everyone has a voice and feels heard, something we find essential in instilling trust across the company.
Additionally, our leadership recognizes that Incyte's core strength lies in the collective experience, passion and perseverance of our team, and we push employees to learn and grow while working under the shared purpose of finding answers for patients by following the science.
4. How does your company handle feedback and suggestions from employees? Is there a system in place for employees to voice their concerns or ideas?
Our open-door culture, frequent events, and town halls encourage dialogue and feedback that drives collaboration and discovery throughout our development process. Employee feedback also helps us consistently tailor the overall employee experience with improvements like expanding benefits programs that help our team and their families maintain healthy lives.
We take the time to speak directly to our employees about their needs and experiences, and we continuously evaluate our efforts to ensure every employee feels they can contribute to their fullest potential across our organization.
Our goal is to ensure our commitment and actions toward an inclusive culture are clear to our employees, those we do business with and the patients we serve.
